Drip turns the interest on your crypto into AI credits, so you can use AI without spending your savings.
You deposit USDG, a dollar stablecoin, into a Drip vault on Robinhood Chain. The vault lends it out, borrowers pay interest, and Drip turns that interest into credits. You spend the credits on Claude Haiku 5.5, Anthropic's fast model, through one chat app or one API key. Your deposit stays in the vault, and you can withdraw it whenever you want.
Later phases add more. Phase 2 gives your AI agents their own budgets and wallets with spending rules. Phase 3 lets you send part of your interest to a friend, a teammate or a developer you support, and transfer credits to other users. Today, in Phase 1, you can deposit, buy credits, chat and use the API.
AI has become a monthly bill, and paying for it is messy in three ways.
- Too many subscriptions. Many people pay several AI providers at once and use only part of what they pay for.
- Surprise bills. Developers and teams running AI agents can see usage costs jump without warning.
- Idle money. Stablecoins often sit in wallets earning nothing, and spending them usually means selling.
Drip links these together. Your assets keep earning, and the earnings become your AI budget.
Your deposit is lent out, borrowers pay interest, and only that interest is turned into AI credits.
The deposit moves only between you and the vault. The keeper takes interest alone, Drip keeps its 10% fee, and the rest lands in your credit balance for the app or API.
Drip runs only on Robinhood Chain and connects five parts: vaults, a lending market, a keeper, a credit ledger and a model gateway.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer-2 network built on Arbitrum. It is home to USDG, which makes it the natural place for Drip.
| Part | What it does | Where it lives | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vaults | Hold deposits, track each user's share, and let only interest leave | On-chain, Robinhood Chain | Live |
| Lending market | Lends vault assets to borrowers who post extra collateral | On-chain, Morpho on Robinhood Chain | Morpho, Steakhouse USDG vault |
| Keeper | Collects interest from the vaults on a set schedule | Drip-operated service | At most daily, from 50 USDG of interest |
| Credit ledger | Records each user's credit balance and links it to the harvest that funded it | Off-chain database, harvests recorded on-chain | Live |
| Agent wallets | Hold an agent's own funds and enforce the spending rules its owner sets | On-chain for USDG, credit limits in the ledger | Coming in Phase 2 |
| Model gateway | Sends each request to Claude Haiku 5.5 through the Anthropic API, and charges for the tokens used | Drip-operated service | Anthropic |
The credit ledger is off-chain. That keeps credits fast and cheap to spend, but it also means credits depend on Drip continuing to operate (see Risks). Each harvest is an on-chain transaction, and the ledger stores its reference, so anyone can check where yield-earned credits came from.
Drip accepts one kind of deposit: USDG.
| Asset | Where the interest comes from | Typical yield | Best for | Available |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| USDG (dollar stablecoin) | Borrowers who post more collateral than they borrow | About 3–6% a year | Steady, predictable credits | Available now |
Yields float with borrower demand. The numbers above are estimates, not promises.
USDG vaults are the core product. If you hold USDC on another network, you can bridge it to Robinhood Chain, where it arrives as USDG.
Other assets such as tokenized stocks, ETH and Bitcoin are not accepted. Keeping to one asset keeps the vault simple and the risks easier to understand.
Drip considered stock vaults and dropped them. Almost nobody borrows tokenized stocks yet, so lending them earns close to nothing, and the products that do pay a yield on stocks get it by borrowing dollars against the shares, which adds liquidation risk. Drip does not borrow against deposits.
At a 4.5% yield, a $10,000 USDG deposit earns about $34 a month in credits after Drip's fee.
| Deposit | Yield per year at 4.5% | Credits after 10% fee | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $45 | $40.50 | About $3.38 |
| $10,000 | $450 | $405 | About $33.75 |
| $50,000 | $2,250 | $2,025 | About $168.75 |
| $100,000 | $4,500 | $4,050 | About $337.50 |
Covering a $20 monthly AI subscription takes roughly $6,000 to $6,500 deposited at these rates, including the service margin on model usage. Small deposits earn very little, so Drip works best as a free background AI budget, or for teams with larger balances.
Unused credits roll over and never expire, so your balance builds up in months when you use AI less.
Credits are a dollar balance you can spend only on AI through Drip. They are not a token, and they cannot be cashed out.
- The Drip app. Chat with Claude Haiku 5.5 in a simple app. No API key or technical setup needed.
- One API key. An OpenAI-compatible key reaches Claude Haiku 5.5, so code written for the OpenAI SDKs works with a new base URL. Streaming, tool use, JSON mode and images work as usual.
Drip serves one model today: Claude Haiku 5.5. It is fast, handles writing, coding, documents and images, and keeps the price per request low, so credits go further. You do not have to pick a model, and every request is priced the same way: tokens in and tokens out, at Anthropic's price plus the service margin.
Coming in Phase 2. Create sub-keys with their own monthly limit, for example $10 for a research agent and $25 for a coding agent. When a sub-key hits its limit, it stops until the next month or until you raise the limit.
Coming in Phase 2. Agent wallets will let an AI agent hold and spend its own budget, under rules you set.
- Its own balance. Fund each agent wallet with USDG or your credits. Idle USDG stays in the USDG vault and keeps earning until the agent spends it.
- Spending rules. Set daily and monthly caps, a per-request limit, and alerts when spending passes a level you choose.
- Pay per request. The agent pays for each model call as it goes, with no human approving every request.
- Outside tools, later. In Phase 4, agents will also pay approved outside services, such as search or data APIs, in USDG from the same wallet and within the same rules.
- You stay in control. Pause an agent, change its rules or pull its funds back at any time.
A budget only limits what a key can spend. A wallet gives the agent its own funds, its own rules and a full spending history.
Coming in Phase 2. See spend by agent and by day, and a forecast such as "your yield covers 18 days of your usage this month."
If you want credits without depositing, or need more than your yield provides, you can buy them directly with USDG. This is the quickest way for new users to try Drip. Purchased credits work exactly like earned ones, except that they cannot be transferred to other users.
Each request is charged at the model's own price plus a small service margin.
From Phase 3, you can point your yield at other people's AI use while keeping your deposit. None of this is live yet.
Send some or all of your future yield to other Drip accounts. You can split it, for example 70% to yourself, 20% to a friend and 10% to an open-source developer you support. You can change or stop a stream at any time, and the change applies from the next harvest.
Send yield-earned credits directly to another account. To transfer, you need to hold at least $100 worth of DRIP in your connected wallet.
Transfers also have safety limits:
- Daily and per-recipient caps.
- A short waiting period before newly received credits can be sent on.
- Unclaimed gifts return to the sender after a set time.
- Credits bought with USDG cannot be transferred.
Many depositors can send yield into one shared pool, for example to fund AI for an open-source project, a hackathon, a DAO or a group of students. Pools come in Phase 4 (see Roadmap).
From Phase 2, give teammates or your own agents part of your balance through sub-keys with monthly limits.
Credits can only ever be spent on AI and never withdrawn as cash. This is deliberate: it keeps Drip a tool for paying for AI, not a way to move money.
DRIP will be a fair-launch token on Pons, coming in Phase 3. Its one job is to unlock credit transfers. Nothing in Drip needs DRIP today.
Holding at least $100 worth of DRIP in your connected wallet lets you transfer yield-earned credits to other users. Everything else in Drip, including deposits, credits, agent budgets and yield streams, works without DRIP.
DRIP launches on Pons (opens in a new tab), a token launchpad on Robinhood Chain. On Pons, a token's whole supply is sold on a bonding curve, where the price moves with buying and selling. When the curve sells out, the token moves to a Uniswap pool whose liquidity is locked permanently.
This means:
- No presale and no private investors.
- No reserved team allocation and no vesting schedule.
- A fixed supply, set at launch.
- Liquidity that cannot be pulled after the curve completes.
Any DRIP the team buys on the curve will be disclosed, with wallet addresses, when DRIP launches.
Pons charges a 1% fee on every trade, and 70% of it goes to the token's creator (source (opens in a new tab)). For DRIP, that creator is the Drip team, so DRIP trading is a source of income for the project.
How this income is used is still being decided. A proposed split:
| Use | Proposed share | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Security: audits and bug bounty | 40% | The biggest risk to depositors is a smart contract bug |
| Development and operations | 40% | Keeps the app, gateway and keeper running |
| Community pools | 20% | Funds AI credits for open-source projects and students |
The final split will be published before DRIP launches, and creator-fee income will be reported publicly.
Drip earns when you earn, when you spend, and from DRIP trading. About $0.86 of every $1 of interest ends up as actual model usage.
| Fee | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Performance fee | 10% of harvested interest | Each harvest |
| Service margin | 5% on top of the model's price | Each AI request |
| USDG purchase margin | None today: 1 USDG buys $1 of credits | When buying credits with USDG |
| Creator fee on DRIP trades | 70% of Pons's 1% trading fee | Each DRIP trade on Pons, from Phase 3 |
Your deposit itself is never charged a fee.
A $10,000 USDG deposit at 4.5% a year, with a 5% service margin:
| Step | Per month |
|---|---|
| Interest earned | $37.50 |
| Minus 10% performance fee | −$3.75 |
| Credits added to your balance | $33.75 |
| Minus 5% service margin as you spend | −$1.61 |
| Model usage you actually get | $32.14 |
Only interest is ever spent, and Drip is designed so it cannot touch your deposit.
- You can exit any time. Withdrawals are limited only by available cash in the lending market (see Risks).
- Drip cannot move deposits. The vault contracts have no function that lets Drip withdraw user funds. Only harvested interest can leave.
- Changes come with warning. Vault contracts are not upgradeable where possible. If a vault needs to switch lending markets, the change is announced on-chain at least 48 hours ahead, so anyone can leave first.
- Emergency pause never locks you in. A pause can stop new deposits but cannot block withdrawals.
- A deposit cap. The USDG vault holds at most 250,000 USDG for now. The cap will rise gradually.
| You trust | For | If it fails |
|---|---|---|
| Drip's vault contracts | Holding your deposit safely | Funds could be lost to a bug |
| Morpho and Steakhouse, the vault's curator | Lending safely, choosing markets and pricing collateral | Bad debt could reduce vault assets |
| Drip's keeper | Collecting interest on schedule | Credits arrive late; deposits are unaffected |
| Drip's credit ledger | Keeping your credit balance | Unspent credits could be lost if Drip stops operating |
| Drip's model gateway | Sending requests and charging fairly | AI requests fail until it is restored |
Drip is live on mainnet, but some items are still open. This is where each one stands.
- At least two independent security audits, with reports published: still open.
- Automated testing against the real Morpho contracts on Robinhood Chain: done.
- A public bug bounty: still open.
- Admin keys and timelock settings published on the security page: done.
- Multisig signer addresses published: still open.
Deposits can lose value, and credits are never guaranteed. Read these before you deposit.
| Risk | What it means |
|---|---|
| Smart contract | A bug in Drip's vault or the lending protocol could cause loss of funds. Drip's contracts have not been audited yet. Audits lower this risk but cannot remove it. |
| Stablecoin | If USDG loses its dollar peg or its issuer fails, deposits could lose value. |
| Lending protocol | Bad debt in a Morpho market, price-feed failures or poor risk settings by the vault's curator could reduce vault assets. |
| Liquidity | If the Morpho markets the vault lends to are fully borrowed, withdrawals can be delayed until cash returns. |
| Variable yield | Rates move with borrower demand and can fall close to zero, so credits can slow down. |
| Credits | Credits are an off-chain balance. If Drip stops operating, unspent credits could be lost. |
| Model prices | If Anthropic raises the price of Claude, the same credits buy less. |
| Single chain | Drip runs only on Robinhood Chain. A network outage would pause deposits, withdrawals and harvests. |
| Regulatory | Rules for stablecoins, DeFi and tokens are unclear or restrictive in many countries and can change. |
| Operational | A keeper failure or a model provider outage can disrupt service. |
| Agent spending (from Phase 2) | Once agent keys and wallets arrive, a faulty or compromised agent can spend up to its limits before you notice. Keep limits tight and alerts on. |
| DRIP token (from Phase 3) | Once DRIP launches, its price can swing sharply. If it falls, you need more DRIP to stay above $100 and keep transfers enabled. |
Availability by country is listed on the eligibility page. Some regions may be restricted.
- Identity checks may apply to credit transfers, depending on where you live.
- You are responsible for the tax treatment of your deposits, yield, credits and DRIP.
- Drip is not affiliated with Robinhood, Pons, any lending protocol or any model provider.
The team members, the legal entity that operates Drip and its country of registration are not listed yet. They will be added here.
Drip ships in four phases on Robinhood Chain, and each phase starts only when the one before it is stable.
- Launch (live now). USDG vault with deposit caps, the credit ledger, the Drip app, one API key, and buying credits with USDG.
- Teams and agents. Agent sub-keys, agent wallets with spending rules, the spending dashboard and team accounts.
- Sharing and DRIP. DRIP fair launch on Pons, yield streams to other accounts, and credit transfers for DRIP holders.
- Expansion. Agent payments to approved outside tools, community pools, and "Pay with Drip," which lets other AI apps accept Drip credits.
Phase 1 is live on Robinhood Chain. Dates for the later phases are not set yet.

- v1.1removed tokenized-stock vaults: USDG is the only deposit, and the roadmap now has four phases. Named the lending market: Morpho, through the Steakhouse USDG vault. Part statuses and USDG availability now follow the network the site runs on. The trust table, risk table and before-mainnet list now match the security page, which drops the public dashboard item. Drip now serves one model, Claude Haiku 5.5 through Anthropic, so smart routing and its savings target are removed. Removed the open-items checklist and a third-party source.
