How it works
Only theinterest moves
Your deposit is lent out, borrowers pay interest, and only that interest is turned into AI credits. Your deposit stays yours: it moves only between you and the vault.
01The flow
Five steps fromdeposit to AI
Deposit, lend, harvest, credits, use AI. The withdraw path is always open.
01Deposit
You deposit USDG into a Drip vault on Robinhood Chain. It stays yours.
You deposit , a dollar stablecoin, into a Drip on Robinhood Chain. The vault tracks your share, and you can withdraw whenever you want. If you hold USDC on another network, you can bridge it to Robinhood Chain, where it arrives as USDG.
02Lend
The vault lends it through Morpho to over-collateralised borrowers.
The vault lends your USDG through Morpho, in the Steakhouse USDG vault, curated by Steakhouse Financial. Borrowers there post more collateral than they borrow and pay interest. Drip only supplies; it never borrows.
03Harvest
A keeper collects only the interest. Drip keeps a 10% fee.
A collects only the interest the vault has earned, on a set schedule. Each is an on-chain transaction. Drip keeps a 10% performance fee; the deposit itself is never charged a fee.
04Credits
The rest lands in your balance as dollar credits that never expire.
The rest lands in your balance as dollar credits. Credits are not a token, cannot be cashed out, and roll over without expiring. The credit ledger stores each harvest’s reference, so anyone can check where yield-earned credits came from.
05Use AI
Spend credits on Claude Haiku 5.5 in the Drip app or with one API key.
Spend credits on Claude Haiku 5.5, Anthropic’s fast model: chat in the Drip app with no setup, or use one OpenAI-compatible API key. Each request is charged at Anthropic’s price plus a small service margin.
Any time
Withdraw
Withdrawals are limited only by available cash in the lending market. An emergency pause can stop new deposits but cannot block withdrawals.
02Architecture
The partsof Drip
Drip runs only on Robinhood Chain and connects five parts: vaults, a lending market, a keeper, a credit ledger and a model gateway. Agent wallets join in Phase 2.
| Part | What it does | Where it lives | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vaults | Hold deposits, track each user's share, and let only interest leave | On-chain, Robinhood Chain | Live |
| Lending market | Lends vault assets to borrowers who post extra collateral | On-chain, Morpho on Robinhood Chain | Morpho, Steakhouse USDG vault |
| Keeper | Collects interest from the vaults on a set schedule | Drip-operated service | At most daily, from 50 USDG of interest |
| Credit ledger | Records each user's credit balance and links it to the harvest that funded it | Off-chain database, harvests recorded on-chain | Live |
| Agent wallets | Hold an agent's own funds and enforce the spending rules its owner sets | On-chain for USDG, credit limits in the ledger | Coming in Phase 2Phase 2 |
| Model gateway | Sends each request to Claude Haiku 5.5 through the Anthropic API, and charges for the tokens used | Drip-operated service | Anthropic |
Why the ledger is off-chain
That keeps credits fast and cheap to spend, but it also means credits depend on Drip continuing to operate (see risks).
03Worked example
What $10,000earns in a month
About $0.86 of every $1 of interest ends up as actual model usage. Estimates, not promises: yields float with borrower demand.
| Step | Per month |
|---|---|
| Interest earned | $37.50 |
| Minus 10% performance fee | −$3.75 |
| Credits added to your balance | $33.75 |
| Minus 5% service margin as you spend | −$1.61 |
| Model usage you actually get | $32.14 |
Model usage a month
$32.14
Estimate, not a promise. It uses the current performance fee and service margin from the whitepaper. Your deposit itself is never charged a fee. Unused credits roll over and never expire.
04Deposit assets
One asset,kept simple
USDG only. If you hold USDC on another network, bridge it and it arrives as USDG. Tokenized stocks, ETH and Bitcoin are not accepted.
- Available now
USDG
Dollar stablecoin
- Interest from
- Borrowers who post more collateral than they borrow
- Typical yield
- About 3–6% a year
- Best for
- Steady, predictable credits
USDG vaults are the core product. If you hold USDC on another network, bridge it to Robinhood Chain, where it arrives as USDG.
- Not accepted
Everything else
Other assets
- Includes
- Tokenized stocks, ETH, Bitcoin and other tokens
- Why
- One asset keeps the vault simple and its risks easy to understand
- Instead
- Swap or bridge to USDG first, then deposit
Drip looked at tokenized stocks and left them out: almost nobody borrows them yet, so a stock vault would earn close to nothing without borrowing against your shares.
